Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

This qualification reflects the job roles of workers in the accounting industry, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It includes preparing and lodging business and instalment activity statements and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.

Total hours of self-directed learning may vary relative to the units selected by the learner, mode of delivery and prior knowledge of the learner. Entry Requirements

  • This course does not have specific entry requirements.
  • However, SSTA, expects participants in this course to meet the following: Australian citizen, holder of permanent residence or be on a visa that allows study in Australia, but not an international student visa.
  • All interested students will undertake a pre-training review.
  • This process allows SSTA to confirm that the course meets the student’s needs and aspirations as well as identifying any learning support requirements and a student’s digital literacy capabilities.
